Dr. Kristin Ackerman is an Associate Professor and the Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs and Academic Operations at the Workman School of Dental Medicine. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Ohio Northern University and her Ph.D. in Integrated Biomedical Sciences and Neuroscience from The Ohio State University. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Regenerative Medicine. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Ackerman identifies most closely with the “Researcher” aspect of the Workman School of Dental Medicine CARE Model.
Dr. Ackerman is passionate about supporting students, faculty, and staff through mentorship, advocacy, and innovative academic practices. She is drawn to High Point University because of its student-first mindset, collaborative environment, and the opportunity to work alongside brilliant colleagues who are transforming higher education through creativity, research, and hands-on learning.
