CARMEN EBY is a dedicated educator with years of experience mentoring young musicians.  Ms. Eby approaches teaching as an opportunity to honor each student, not only as a developing musician but as a whole person.  She is passionate about meeting students where they are and creating an inclusive environment in which students feel seen and supported, fostering both personal and musical growth.

 

Ms. Eby has served as adjunct Instructor of Clarinet at Guilford College and Greensboro College and maintains a private lesson studio in Greensboro, NC.  She presents clinics and masterclasses throughout the Piedmont Triad Region and has worked regularly with the Roanoke Youth Symphony Orchestra in Virginia.   Additionally, Ms. Eby has also been on the faculty at UNCG Summer Music Camp, Lutheran Summer Music Program and New England Music Camp.

 

As a performer, Carmen holds the position of principal clarinet with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and Opera Roanoke in Virginia and is a freelance artist in the Piedmont Triad region.

 

Ms. Eby holds her MM in clarinet performance from Ohio State University and her BA in Music Education from Luther College. Carmen lives in Greensboro with her husband, Chad Eby and has two grown children, Spenser and Mira.
