Dr. Lauren Baber, PT, DPT is a licensed Physical Therapist, Instructor in Clinical Education and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. She serves as the course director for local clinical experiences 7050 and 7550, assists the Director of Clinical Education in all terminal clinical needs and will assist with the Medically Complex Patients Course. Dr. Baber earned a B.S. from Guilford College in Sports Medicine and a DPT from Campbell University. Through the National Academy of Brain Injury Specialist, Dr. Baber holds a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Certification. She has been a CI for numerous HPU students during her time in clinical practice and a TA for HPU for 3 years. She continues to work closely with her patients in the acute setting part time and draws from this experience to promote clinical practice in the classroom. Dr. Baber’s passion for teaching is rooted in the ability to motivate and encourage students to bridge didactic learning to clinical practice and hopes to continue this in her role with clinical education.
