I am an assistant professor for the Physician Assistant program here at HPU. I look forward to emphasizing the importance of behavioral health and teaching the next generation of PAs the importance of empathy, compassion and respect in their provider-patient relationships. After graduation, I have experience in General Surgery (Wilmington Health 1.5 years), Urgent Care (FastMed) and most recently Behavioral Health (Coastal Horizons- where I still work on my clinic day). I received a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology from NC State University (2012). I then went on to receive my Masters of Physician Assistant Studies degree from East Carolina University (2015). I am excited to bring my passion for teaching and experience in behavioral health specifically to create more compassionate PA’s.
