David Pitonzo, PhD, MS, PA-C

Dr. Pitonzo holds a doctorate (PhD) in Integrative Biomedical Sciences and Molecular Medicine from Oregon Health and Sciences University where his research focus was on understanding the biogenesis of membrane proteins involved in disease processes such as cystic fibrosis, diabetes insipidus, traumatic brain injury and other central nervous system insults. He received his Master’s degree as a physician assistant from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with a concentration in Pediatric Infectious Disease. He began his PA career in Pediatric Adolescent Medicine followed by clinical work in Otolaryngology. He served as the Academic Coordinator for the University of New Mexico PA program and brings with him recent experience with the ARC-PA accreditation process.
