Areas of Specialization: Kant’s Ethics, Applied Ethics, Free Will/Agency Theory, Moral Psychology, Bio-Medical Ethics. Dr. MacArthur wrote her dissertation on “The Duty of Self-Knowledge in Kant’s Ethics” and she is the faculty advisor to the Philosophy Club and co-coordinator of the award-winning HPU Ethics Bowl Team. In 2012 she was awarded the Silvershein/Gutenstein Family Faculty Development Grant for her work in Service Learning. She Joined the Department in the fall of 2008.
