Scott Hollingsworth serves as a full-time Professor of the Practice in Sport Management within the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication at High Point University, where he teaches foundational sport management, sport finance, and sport marketing and sponsorship sales.

Mr. Hollingsworth translates over 20 years of executive leadership in corporate finance and global sports properties into the classroom. A former Investment Banker with Smith Barney who led equity, debt, and M&A transactions, he combines a deep understanding of capital markets with extensive operating experience in the executive management of major sports organizations. His corporate track record includes serving as Managing Director of Strategic Development for International Speedway Corporation/NASCAR ($600M+ enterprise), Chief Revenue & Operating Officer at Stay Plugged In, CEO of Paradama Productions (AMA Supercross/Superbike rightsholder), and Chief Commercial Officer for BMW Oracle Racing’s victorious 33rd America’s Cup campaign. An ADDY Award-winning commercial strategist, Professor Hollingsworth specializes in the full lifecycle of sport marketing and sponsorship – from valuation and rights packaging to activation and ROI measurement. He has architected integrated multi-channel campaigns for global brands including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, and Brightspeed Fiber Internet, and negotiated major commercial agreements with promoters such as Live Nation and AEG.

Through a “manager-as-mentor” approach, Professor Hollingsworth equips HPU students to evaluate complex market opportunities, build go-to-market sponsorship strategies, and lead in the modern sports industry.
