Dr. Jenkins brings over three decades of advertising experience to the Strategic Communication Department at High Point University’s Nido R. Qubein School of Communication. Throughout a 35-year career, Jenkins has collaborated with teams serving 150 of the top Fortune 500 brands, gaining insights that now enrich upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in advertising and public relations. This industry insight forms the foundation for his teaching and current research focusing on human communication and behavioral shifts within our growing relationship with artificial intelligence in this digital era.
Jenkins holds a Ph.D. from Liberty University, an MA in Communication from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Communication with a minor in Marketing from Old Dominion University. Through his work developing the HYPE student-run agency, he continues to nurture client relationships among local, regional, and state businesses and non-profits. Jenkins is also heading into his third year as Senior Cohort Director for the Siegfried Leadership Fellows, an organization providing scholarships and leadership development for exceptional students.
