Daniel Armenti received his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is Director of the Italian Studies Program at High Point University. His research focuses on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and power in medieval and classical literature; he has published on topics ranging from the Global Middle Ages, race, and pedagogical approaches to pre-modern literature. Additionally, he was an editor for the volume Women’s Lives: Self-Representation, Reception and Appropriation in the Middle Ages (University of Wales Press, 2022), and he is an associate editor of The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Medieval Women’s Writing in the Global Middle Ages.
