At High Point University's Game Design Summer Program, you'll become part of a professional game development studio, working with Unreal Engine to design, build, test, and publish your own original 3D video game.

From Idea to Playable Game

Professional game development combines storytelling, art, technology, design, and teamwork.

Throughout the week you’ll experience every stage of the creative process while learning in HPU’s Game Design labs and Esports Arena and create your own playable game.

What You’ll Create

You’ll:

  • Design original game worlds
  • Build interactive gameplay
  • Create visual effects
  • Add sound and user interfaces
  • Test and refine your game
  • Publish your completed project online

By the end of the week, your game won’t stay in the classroom—it will be available for others to play.
