The purpose of this website is to guide you through the placement testing and registration process at High Point University. You can follow the links in the navigation section on the left side of this page to read more about placement testing, registration information, and important deadlines.
Your individual placement test requirements and results are available at my.highpoint.edu. As you continue through the placement testing process, please refer back to these requirements and results, as they will be updated according to your progress.
In the time leading up to your enrollment at HPU, you will receive customized information about placement testing and your unique registration needs from HPU Placement Testing. Please read it carefully, as it is tailored to your specific registration requirements. If you have any questions or concerns along the way, please contact [email protected].
If you expect to receive AP or transfer credits, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible. Do not assume you will be exempt from a test automatically. Your file will need to be evaluated to determine if you need to take a test or wait until the placement has gone through our system. The sooner you are in contact with us about your situation, the better able we will be to avoid last minute testing or a missed placement.
If you expect to receive a foreign language exemption, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible. Do not assume you will be exempt from a test automatically. Your file will need to be evaluated to determine if you need to take a test or wait until the placement has gone through our system. The sooner you are in contact with us about your situation, the better able we will be to avoid last minute testing or a missed placement.
Once you have paid your enrollment deposit, you will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions on which placement exams you are required to take. At that time, your individual placement testing requirements will be available by logging into my.highpoint.edu using your HPU username and password and selecting Placement Test Results.
