Regina Borriello
Regina Borriello is an accomplished science educator with more than two decades of experience. She is the head consultant of Awkward Octopus Productions LLC, a company that helps educators create engaging and hands-on science experiences for their students using their Making Science A Verb™️ framework. Regina believes that teachers should have autonomy in their own learning. She encourages teachers to reflect on their own teaching practices and experiment with new ideas to improve student engagement and achievement.
Regina has a MS in Biology and a M.Ed in Teacher Leadership. Her expertise in the field has led her to present her work at multiple venues, including several conferences organized by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
Regina also believes that creating science classrooms where students take on the role of scientists is a sustainable practice and works closely with teachers to support their planning and scheduling. She understands the pressures that teachers face and provides guidance to reduce overwhelm and increase confidence in creating meaningful science experiences for their students.
Regina's passion for science education and her innovative approaches continue to inspire educators and students alike to approach science learning in new and exciting ways.
