Linda Sekhon is the founding chair of the Department of Medical Sciences in the School of Health Sciences, having previously served as the founding chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. Her educational interests are experiential learning and professional doctoral education for PA providers. She is the current president-elect for the National Physician Assistant Education Association. Sekhon has served as secretary of the North Carolina Association of Physical Assistants as well as the Optimal Team Practice Taskforce and the Professional Development and Review Panel for the Academy. She is known nationally for her service to the profession and has served on numerous committees in PA professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Physician Assistant Education Association.
