Dr. Matthew Brophy – Ethics

Dr. Matthew Brophy, associate professor of philosophy, applies moral philosophy to current events relating to technology ethics, leadership ethics, and business ethics. He has a particular interest in issues involving science and cutting-edge technologies, as he teaches a popular freshman course, “Minds, Machines, & Human Beings.” Brophy has been involved with the Piedmont Business Ethics Award, the NCICU Ethics Bowl tournament, and previously served as President for the North Carolina Philosophical Society.
