High Point University incoming freshmen took part in a team-building exercise, assembling more than 150 bicycles from scratch before the start of classes. The students then surprised local children with the finished bikes, helping them get comfortable riding and even teaching some kids to ride for the first time. The bikes were donated through the nonprofit organizations DUP and Growing the Distance Community Writing Center.
