Hi, I'm Jodi from Rolling Stone. I'm also a 2015 High Point University graduate. When I heard that HPU was going to be in its own episode of The College Tour, I had to come back to campus to see what it was all about.

Come meet the cast with me. I have already seen the college tour, so I am familiar with you. I'm so excited to get into everything, but for the viewers at home who don't know you yet, can you introduce yourself a little bit and talk about what you shared on the show?

Yes, so my name is Ja'Niyah Williams. I'm a junior here at High Point. My topic was looking at the Research Laboratories and just all of our classroom opportunities that we have here on campus.

It was very important to me just because coming into college while I was interested in the Sciences, I just didn't believe in myself. But the fact that we have access to research freshman year, I can kind of get the hands-on experience doing it that was something that was very important. So I'm glad I get to be able to show it because again, I love science. I just gotta push myself, but research kind of gave me that confidence to keep the push.

In you said confidence, so it sounds like being on campus, being with faculty, being able to kind of find what you're interested in really helped transform you as a person. Would you say so? 100%. Just having that hands-on ability to say, hey, I can physically do it. You also mentally can do it as well. So just that confidence builder for sure.

What were you thinking when they came to you and said we want you to be on the show? My inner child was excited. The lights, the cameras, living out my inner-child a dream. So it just the whole experience, it was kind of like it didn't feel real, but it was very exciting and just very fun to live through.

Well, when this premieres, you do know it's going to be on national TV. Lots of eyes on you. Are you ready to become famous? I like, I hope you have your TikTok ready, your Instagram DMs are about to be flooded. How are you feeling? I'm excited, um, nervous, but excited. It's been a long time coming, so I'm excited.

Are you ready to be a full-blown TV star? So ready. What are you going to do once you're famous? Oh, good question. Um, probably Beyoncé. That would be the dream. So me and Beyoncé will get…
