Hi, I'm Kiera DeNicola. I graduated from High Point University in 2024 with my bachelor's degree in finance and marketing. I continued on in 2025 to get my masters of business administration.

I currently work at Salesforce in New York City in a tech sales role.

Salesforce is cutting-edge technology leading the way in AI automation and shaping the road to our future of the workforce.

So being a part of it and helping all of my current customers is just so fun to be a part of.

I found out about High Point University through the New Jersey network and they all raved about it. So my dad and I took a trip down here and we had to tour it.

Something that stood out to me was our values. God, family, country. It's how I was raised and I wanted to surround myself in this type of environment.

I think mentorship is so important. I met Larry Quinn on day one and he's the chair of the department of sales and marketing here at High Point University.

He had such a big impact on my career here. I didn't know that I was going to go into sales, but he knew who I was and he knew that's where I could be and he remained a mentor to me throughout my whole journey here at High Point University.

After college, Dr. Daniel Hall, dean of the business school, was one of the many resources here. He personally helped me look in the New York City region for alumni who are looking to hire High Point University grads.

My biggest advice for you is to take advantage of the 200 plus clubs and taking advantage of everything the campus has to offer you here.

I was very involved here on campus between my sorority zeta alpha professional selling club, the student advisory board. I also worked at Aloe as a host, one of our fine dining locations.

And there are so many experiential learning opportunities here at High Point University, even having the opportunity to meet a lot of our innovators and residents.

I had the opportunity to moderate a panel with Tina Pichon, a C-suite executive at Google, who is also an innovator in residence here at High Point.

Yes, every school can provide you a textbook education, but where High Point University stands out is in the life skills and it's the hands-on experiences that you wouldn't learn inside of the classroom.

It's having the option to learn mannerisms at 1924 Prime professionalism, how to dress.

Ultimately, High Point University prepared me for my career in New York City because I was able to work with high-level leaders and bring professionalism to the table.

HPU's call to action, choose to be extraordinary, means to me pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, setting goals for yourself, and challenging those around you.

It's really important to continue being around people who inspire you so you can continue inspiring others around yourself.
