NOW is the time to secure a summer internship, and on March 13 HPU will host the Spring Career and Internship Expo, which will be open to all students. Associate Director of Career & Internship Services Sue Brien stated “this expo is a tremendous opportunity for students to have face-to-face conversations and network with over 55 organizations about opportunities that can impact their future. Students would be short-sighted to miss this event , no matter what stage they are in their decision-making process about internships, full-time employment or continuing on to grad school after HPU. There is such value in learning first-hand what the options may be.”
These recruiters will be representing commercial real estate, health care, insurance, banking, government/public service, the media, consumer goods/manufacturing, financial services, computer/technology, education, transportation/logistics, hospitality/hotels, and include well-known companies such as Ralph Lauren; Nielsen (Ratings); Krispy Kreme; Dick Broadcasting: AFLAC; Enterprise Rent-A-Car; FBI (Charlotte field office);Peace Corps; Systel Business Equipment; and Time-Warner. There will also be a number of graduate/professional schools available to talk with students about options to earn an advanced degree.
The Career & Internship Expo will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m in the Slane Student Center Gym. Please encourage your student to attend, to dress professionally, bring copies of his/her resume, and to research ahead of time by reviewing this brochure and going to the websites of organizations of interest: http://issuu.com/hpucareerservices/docs/spring_2014_career___internship_exp
