The Office of Study Abroad is excited to announce two new options for our students who would like to spend a semester abroad. Bangor University in Wales and the University of Graz in Austria are the latest additions to the list of prestigious universities with which High Point University exchanges students.
With over 16,000 students, Bangor University is one of the oldest universities in the United Kingdom and is located near fast connections to cities all over Europe, including London, Dublin, and Liverpool. “Times Higher Education” called Bangor University the top UK university for help and support, and ranked them in the top 5% of the world universities.
The oldest university in the state of Styria and the second-oldest in all of Austria, the University of Graz is home to over 30,000 students, and is the second largest university in Austria. The city of Graz is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and an important gateway to neighboring countries, providing many opportunities for travel.
Coming up on April 24 and 25 is a sneak-peak at our 2015 faculty-led Global Experience “May-mester” programs. You are the first to know that May 2015 will take High Point University students to follow the Buddha throughout India, study Cross-Cultural Psychology in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, and participate in a Habitat for Humanity build in Eastern Europe.
The application deadline for Fall 2014 programs is Friday, March 14, and there is still time to apply. Please encourage your students to connect with the Office of Study Abroad to explore their many options!
