Good News! Employment, Graduate School and Summer Internship Highlights

The staff in Career & Internship Services is always thrilled to hear the words from a senior “I just got the job!” or “I have been accepted to my first-choice grad program,” especially when these words are spoken BEFORE graduation. We are also very happy when we hear from other students that they have secured an exciting summer internship – an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience. Some of these internships are completed for academic credit and some are paid, but all are valuable and help students develop personally and professionally.

Below is a small sample of post-graduation plans of selected seniors and summer internships of current students. This list does not represent all majors and does not give credit to all of the graduating seniors who have finalized plans or all of the students who have secured a summer opportunity. Please contact Career & Internship Services for assistance.

As you can tell from the variety of opportunities secured, HPU has a lot to be proud of! We want to emphasize that it is critical for students to begin the process of transitioning out of college as early as the first semester of sophomore year. If your student is not yet focused on pursuing/securing an internship, we suggest he/she begin exploring career interests and options by doing a variety of informational interviews/shadowing experiences. This will “start the conversation” with professionals in work environments of interest. Career & Internship Services can help facilitate many types of career exploration and solid work experiences that will put your student at a competitive advantage and increase the likelihood that they will be a senior who secures post-graduate plans PRIOR TO graduation. We invite you to partner with us and encourage your student to take full advantage of our assistance. To see how we can help, please visit our webpage.
