How HPU helped you get there: “High Point University helped prepare me for my future by allowing me access to the best resources in all facets of my college experience. Within the communication major, I had access to top-of-the-line resources and tons of help from the extraordinary faculty. Outside of the classroom, HPU gave me opportunities to build upon my leadership skills through extracurricular involvement.“
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “The most impactful mentor I had at HPU was Professor Phil Watson. After taking multiple classes with him and working with him as the advisor of the Public Relations Student Society of America, he was always available to help me, whether it was writing a letter of recommendation over the summer or mentoring me throughout my internship process. He truly invested time in me and my success as a student and young professional.“
Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was serving my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, as Vice President. Through this and other leadership roles I developed the necessary skills and professionalism that has proven incredibly valuable in professional and career environments.”
Advice for underclassmen: “I strongly suggest that underclassmen take advantage of all that HPU has to offer, whether it’s joining clubs and academic organizations or attending networking events. Students should definitely choose to become involved whenever possible.”
