It may be early in the semester, but Commencement will be here before we know it. Many High Point University seniors are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2016:
Name: Rory Woods
Hometown: Effingham, Illinois
Major: Woods will graduate with a B.S.B.A. in Business Administration, with a minor in Sales, on May 7.
Post-graduation plans: Woods accepted a position as a Sales and Account Manager at Elite Touch, a commercial cleaning service in Charlotte, North Carolina. In his position, Woods will be responsible for setting up and managing accounts for the company.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU helped me by equipping me with professors who have worked and succeeded in the actual fields they teach.“
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Mr. Randy Moser was the most impactful teacher I have had in my four years here at HPU. He was a very personable person that made himself available at all times to help me with questions related to school and outside of school. He took interest in every single one of his students and created a fun atmosphere to learn and grow in.“
Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was declaring my minor in Sales after having a talk with Mr. Moser about the advantages it would bring me.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Go the extra mile in every walk of life and you will achieve more success than you could dream of.”
