With Commencement just around the corner, High Point University seniors are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2016:
Name: Sean Danielczyk
Hometown: Baltimore, Maryland
Major: Danielczyk will graduate with a B.S.B.A. in Business Administration, with minors in Marketing and Economics, on May 7.
Post-graduation plans: Danielczyk will commission as a Second Lieutenant and begin a career as the Chief Financial Manager for the 374th Finance Battalion in the United States Army Reserves. After four months of training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, he will begin his eight-year service once a month in Newark, Delaware. He also hopes to pursue a civilian career in music business and promotion.
How HPU helped you get there: “High Point was awesome. Coming into college, I wanted to make an impact. I wanted to do things that would not only benefit me, but everyone around me. I wanted to live ‘the best four years of my life’ to the fullest and do the most with them. High Point provided me everything I needed to accomplish just that, and mature into the young adult I am today. The amazing faculty was such a beneficial part of my college experience – there was no way they were going to let me fail.“
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “I’ve had some great professors and tons of friends I can rely on, but President Nido Qubein would have to be the man I look up to the most here. I admire his drive and his work ethic.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “This would be a tie between contracting with the United States Army, or receiving the news that I would be the opening act for the spring concert. Both are testaments to the work I’ve put in here, and the drive that I have to make things happen.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Go out and make things happen; don’t wait for things to come to you. Wake up every day and work towards a goal. You’ll have no regrets.“
