Associate Director of Survey Research Center Presents at Conference

HIGH POINT, N.C., May 25, 2016 – High Point University’s associate director of the Survey Research Center (SRC) Brian McDonald recently presented research collected though the SRC at the International Field Directors and Technology Conference (IFDTC) in Austin, Texas.

The pilot research project was a collaboration with Zagaran, Inc., utilizing their short message service (SMS) software, Instant Census.

During the IFDTC panel presentation, “Mobile and Real-time Data Collection,” McDonald discussed the outcomes of recruitment for a survey conducted using SMS. McDonald elaborated on the findings of a SMS survey exploring survey response and tracking ancillary data using this data collection method.

“The panel was composed of survey research experts showcasing their own work,” says McDonald. “Attending the IFDTC conference to highlight the work conducted through the Survey Research Center was the perfect platform to present this preliminary research.”

The panel also included survey research experts from the University of Wisconsin Survey Center and RTI International.
