Internship: Krasinski joins YouTuber Mai Pham in a New York, New York-based internship to help edit content, websites and meetings. In her role, she also sends emails and helps hire employees, while completing other tasks.
How HPU helped you get there: “High Point University has prepared me by having extraordinary classes and professors that teach me what I need to know to succeed, including platforms such as Adobe Premiere. Taking a college writing course taught me how to construct emails and helped me land my internship position. HPU continuously instills in students that we won’t get opportunities unless we try. I direct messaged a famous YouTuber on Instagram not expecting to get a reply but I did. By taking a chance and using the life skills I’ve learned from HPU, I got my dream internship.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Holly Williams, in the communication department, is my most impactful mentor at HPU because she has been so helpful and believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She is such a caring and motivating professor.”
What has your internship experience been like, and how is it preparing you for your future?: “This internship has prepared me for my future by giving me the skills and tools I need for future job opportunities. It’s also helping me make connections with people in the industry.”
