HPU graduates are leading prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary graduate from the Class of 2022:

Name: Faye Lynch

Hometown: Staten Island, New York

Major: Fashion merchandising with a minor in marketing

Post-graduation plans: Lynch works with Marie Oliver as a coordinator in Greensboro, North Carolina. She works with sales, design and marketing on different projects in each department.

How HPU helped you get there: “During the fall semester of my senior year, I was required to have an internship as part of my major. This is how I started working at Marie Oliver. Without this internship, I would not be in my current role. I would not have had this opportunity had I not attended High Point University.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentor was Dr. Victoria Brown, assistant professor of home furnishings and interior design. She gave me opportunities that I never knew would be possible in my field. During my freshman year, we went on a trip to New York City to visit Kleinfeld Bridal, which instilled my love for bridal designs. Dr. Brown also displayed an outfit I made during my textiles and materials class in a window at Norton Hall. Through this, I was able to learn what it was like to design a window display. She also sent out an internship opportunity at Chanel during my senior year, and I got it! She has given me so many opportunities, and I couldn’t have imagined my HPU experience without her.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was with the HPU choir on the trip to Prague and Vienna in May. I never thought I would be able to sing in other countries. That’s something not many people get to say. I am so happy that music has brought so many opportunities and continues to do so.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Soak in every minute you have on campus. Take in where you are because the next four years will go by fast. Also, don’t be afraid to run for leadership positions in clubs or the Student Government Association. If you’re wondering if you should apply for a position, just do it! You never know what the outcome may be.”
