Internship: Williams worked with Tesla Motors in Atlanta, Georgia, as a seasonal sales and delivery advisor. He worked one-on-one with clients setting up vehicles to be delivered and delivering newly purchased vehicles. He also spent time on the sales floor assisting customers with questions, inquiries and sales.
How HPU helped you get there: “Knowing I would be attending HPU as a freshman in the fall, hearing President Nido Qubein speak multiple times at university events and considering the powerful internships that would be available to me during my academic career, I felt inspired to be extraordinary. I know that everything that I do counts toward my career prospects, and I wanted to make sure I started on the right foot with a strong internship that would help build a resume. With this inspiration, I applied for a seasonal position and was honored to be selected for interviews and then to be hired for the role. Thank you HPU, for the inspiration to continue to be extraordinary!”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Professor Larry Quinn, chair of the Department of Marketing and Sales, has been incredibly impactful to me from our first meeting when I was touring the school. Since then we have been in touch via email as well as meeting in person again at Innovation Summit. Seeing his passion for what he does and hearing his words of wisdom motivates me to learn and push my sales skills to the next level. ”
What has your internship experience been like, and how is it preparing you for your future?: “I learned about politics and the workforce. And even though I was interning at Tesla, I had to work hard in the blazing hot Atlanta sun. This increased my motivation to ensure that when I leave HPU I will have created the best resume possible and land a great position after I graduate.”
