Major: Event management
Post-graduation plans: Kreuser works as a booking coordinator with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis, Tennessee. In her role, she works with the Grizzlies’ marketing team to promote games at the FedEx Forum. She also interacts with artists’ agents, clients and managers to book concerts and shows that the FedEx Forum hosts.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU helped me become a well-rounded person with leadership experience that has helped me succeed in the workplace. I applied what I learned from career advisors in the Office of Career and Professional Development to polish my resume and interview skills, which helped me land my role with a prestigious organization.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentor at HPU was Corey Esquenazi, director of Sorority and Fraternity Life. When I served as Panhellenic president, Corey taught me I could accomplish more than I imagined and that I am a perfect example of good leadership.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success? “HPU’s inspiring campus instilled in me a positive mindset and the confidence that the skills I learned and connections I made would lead to success after graduation.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “One of the life skills HPU helped me gain is being able to make connections. I also learned how to market myself and how to manage a work-life balance.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “The value of a growth mindset helped me achieve my current role by teaching me to never stop growing and learning.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Never sell yourself short. You are more competent and able to accomplish more than you think. Apply for a job you love, even if you think you might be underqualified because employers won’t always see it that way.”
