Major: Spanish and human relations
Post-graduation plans: Wommack-Johnson received a teaching assistantship in Andalusia, Spain, through the North American Language and Culture Assistantships Program (NALCAP). She will be teaching English to Spanish students throughout the 2023-2024 academic year.
How HPU helped you get there:

Whether it be the First-Year Seminar on Life Skills with President Nido Qubein or real-life applications in my classes, HPU taught me the hard and soft skills employers are looking for.”

“My most impactful mentors at HPU were Dr. Adam Winkel, associate professor of Spanish, and Dr. David Bergen, professor of management and entrepreneurship. They both have a dedication to helping students be their best.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success?
“HPU provides students with an environment that inspires. The classroom settings and study spaces allow for collaboration, idea generation and hands-on learning. Outside of the classroom, the beautiful campus allowed me to take a deep breath after a long day. The combination of the two helped me become successful not only in my studies but in finding my place as an individual.”

“Take advantage of every social and professional event HPU has to offer. You will thank yourself in the long run.”
