How HPU helped you get there:
“HPU provides the necessary resources for students to reach their goals. The faculty members cared about my success and wanted to help me in every way they could. I used the Office of Career and Professional Development to get feedback on my resume and cover letter. HPU also connected me with employers through career fairs and helped me secure internships.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“Mark Brown, associate professor of art, was my most impactful mentor at HPU. Professor Brown was my advisor, and I spent hours in his office discussing my future and the courses that would help me reach my goals. I had the opportunity to travel to Italy with Professor Brown, and I learned so much about art and culture on that trip.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“My most impactful moment at HPU was at my senior exhibition. I created a portfolio that encompassed all my artistic work throughout college. It was incredible to see everyone’s portfolios and celebrate our accomplishments together.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success?
“HPU’s inspiring environment taught me to be confident. I knew the type of job I wanted, and I didn’t settle until I got it. I have higher standards, and I am motivated to make my workplace the best it can be.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success?
“HPU gave me the most incredible four years that I will cherish for the rest of my life. HPU taught me confidence, motivation and leadership skills. I am outgoing, well-spoken and prepared to be successful in my career.”
Advice for underclassmen:
“My advice for underclassmen is to start early. Create your resume and LinkedIn profile, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are so many people who are ready to help you at HPU. Take advantage of every opportunity and make connections.”
