How HPU helped you get there:
“During my four years at HPU, I learned technical skills that will help me succeed in my career and life skills that prepared me for my future. HPU allowed for a seamless transition from my undergraduate education to my professional life. I used the Office of Career and Professional Development every semester at HPU. From giving me pointers on my resume to helping me practice for interviews, I would not be in the position that I am today without the assistance and advice from HPU’s career professionals.”

“My most impactful mentor at HPU was Bradley Lambert, associate professor of media production and entrepreneurship. He served as my advisor and professor at HPU. Professor Lambert had contagious enthusiasm and a clear passion for every course he taught. His willingness to offer guidance and support made him an integral part of my success.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“My most impactful moment at HPU was the day I finished my senior capstone project. My project served as the culmination of my four years at HPU and displayed all the skills I developed in my courses. It was incredible to see how much I had grown as a student and creator.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success?
“HPU’s inspiring environment prepared me for my future in important ways. I learned in hands-on, collaborative environments that resembled what I would experience in my industry. My professors were mentors who gave me invaluable guidance and advice. I also participated in events, clubs and organizations that provided me with lifelong friends.”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success?
“The most important life skill I learned at HPU is how to come back from failure. Mistakes are impossible to avoid, and the faculty at HPU taught me how to turn my setbacks into opportunities for learning and growth.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation?
“Determination and discipline are two values from HPU I have taken with me after graduation. I will cherish my peers who pushed me to be my best and my professors who supported me and taught me to be a disciplined student.”
Advice for underclassmen:
“Take advantage of your professors’ office hours. While I gained most of my knowledge from the classroom, I learned how to apply it by asking questions and seeking assistance from my professors.”
