HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 26, 2025 – As the holiday season approaches, High Point University is preparing for community members to take a magical ride through campus during HPU’s 14th annual Christmas Drive celebration. This free event is open to the public and will take place from Saturday, Dec. 20, to Saturday, Dec. 27, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
This is a fun and festive way for families, friends and neighbors to enjoy the holiday decorations and sounds of the season from the comfort of their vehicles. Community members should enter HPU’s campus at the University Parkway entrance and exit at Panther Drive right by the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center.
Guests will enjoy views of more than 100,000 Christmas lights, 235 large nutcrackers, a life-size Nativity scene and the state’s tallest Christmas tree at 70 feet as they make their way through campus. They also pass giant wreaths and a 58-foot Christmas tree on the lawn outside the arena.

“This is the season for families and friends to come together and fellowship in the spirit of Christmas,” HPU President Nido Qubein said. “We are blessed to welcome thousands of community members to our campus every Christmas season to spread love, joy and peace.”
Community members should tune in to 89.7 FM while driving through campus to enjoy Christmas carols performed by the talented students and faculty from the HPU Department of Music. They will also receive a special gift from HPU as they leave campus.
Thousands of community members enjoyed the festivities of the holiday season during last year’s Christmas Drive.
The Christmas Drive comes as part of a month of holiday-themed events that allow thousands of guests to celebrate the Christmas spirit on campus. For more information about Christmas-themed events at HPU, visit www.highpoint.edu/happy-holidays/.
