Building Access is a section of Campus Police and Safety. Please click on the links below to complete forms for access or for information on frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

In conjunction with submitting your building reservation, please forward a confirmation of your room request to [email protected] and specify the time/days and doors/buildings you need open.

Students are required to notify Security of any guests.

Students can register all guests here.

Be advised, visitors parking on campus between 6 AM and 8 PM are not required to have a HPU parking permit. Instead, visitors must park in “visitor” parking spaces or any other unmarked spaces or lots. Overnight guests parking on campus need to display a Visitor parking permit that is received when your guest checks in at a welcoming post.

Security Techs department aid in the following:

  • Environmental Health and Safety compliance
  • Installation, maintenance and repair for access control, security cameras, etc.
  • Key/Lock issuance and management
  • Inspection, maintenance and repair for all fire and burglar alarm systems
  • Contractor vetting and credentialing

To submit a work order, simply log in to the Campus Enhancement portal with your HPU credentials and click “Add New Request.” From there, please fill out all pertinent information regarding the work order and hit submit.

You can also access the Campus Enhancement portal through under the “HPU Tools” tab to the left of the search bar at the top of the page.

HPU Faculty and Staff should use this form to request campus keys.  Master keys will require approval from your area VP and are subject to review.  HPU will not issue residential master keys.

  • Keys may not be duplicated and should not be shared.
  • Lost keys must be immediately reported to Campus Police & Security.
  • Upon separation from HPU, employees must return all keys to their supervisor.
  • Lost keys may incur a $50 fine per key.

IT Service Center is the resource to use when you are having IT issues. Topics ranging from Onboarding, Hardware & Software, Event Support, connectivity problems with your internet/cable, One University Login, and computer programming. When it comes to technology, the Help Desk has got you covered from its new home on the ground floor of Wilson Residence Hall IT Servicer Center.

Concierge’s goal is to improve the daily lives of our students by providing a single source of knowledge for all campus and community information. Their wonderful staff consist of 50 Students, 4 graduate assistants and 4 Full-Time Concierge. They are here to assist you in any way they can! Services include, but are not limited to, Dry Cleaning, arranging delivery of gifts, Event Planning, Work Order Submission, and transportation requests. Please call, email or stop by the Concierge Desk in Slane Student Center, R.G. Wanek Center, or Cottrell Hall for all your campus needs!

Please Note: Holidays and Special Events may affect these hours.

The transportation team offers shuttles to Greensboro-High Point, Raleigh-Durham International and Charlotte Douglas International Airports. The Campus Trolley is available all week when classes are in session. A shuttle is available to take students to shop around town. Other forms of transportation can be arranged for students, such as limos, Ubers and buses, just to name a few.

There are 2 levels of security: Security Officers (unsworn officers), and Campus Police (sworn officers).

The emergency line is when you are feeling unsafe, in need of medical attention, etc. The non-emergency line is to be used for getting back into your room, and information on decals and passports.

Care Poles, (blue light system) can also be used in an emergency and officers will usually be on their way in under a minute. Officers (Security and Police) are on patrol 24 hours a day.

Park your vehicle/trailer in the 3rd or 4th floor of the parking deck. Send an email to [email protected] asking to verify approval to leave the vehicle for the specified time on campus. Please include the following in the email:

  • First and Last Name
  • Contact Number
  • An image of the vehicle on campus at its parked location
  • Make
  • Model
  • Decal Number

The requesting party may email [email protected] with the following information:

Requesting a sponsored account

Individuals Name

Individuals personal email (not university or work email)

Managers Name (who is responsible for the sponsored account)

Start Date

(Sponsored accounts are active by default for one year. If we know ahead of time that it will need to be longer (or shorter), an end date can be included.

Once this account has been created, email us at [email protected] and we can provide the requested clearances.

*Please do not use P.O. Box because mail could be delayed in reaching its destination or returned to the sender.

**Your campus box number is the last 4 digits of your student ID.

Having problems accessing your mailbox?

Please be advised that your mailbox adheres to the same regulations as any U. S. mailbox. Since this is government regulated, security is not allowed to access your mailboxes nor the mail center at any time. (Not even to retrieve medications/important packages that you need on the weekend/on holiday breaks). Please plan accordingly to retrieve your items during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm) and always contact the mail center at 336-841-9235.

Contact your Resident Director or The Office of Student life to arrange the retrieval of items left behind in your dorm while moving out.

Campus is open to the community from 8am-8pm every day except during special events.**

If looking to gain access for a group field trip or to take prom photos or anything of the like, please email Art Fadde.

Submit all Duty Driver requests to [email protected] and cc [email protected] for all transportation request to student health, doctors appointments or just additional transportation request throughout campus when temporarily disabled.

A student that wishes to ship a vehicle to High Point University Campus should use the address of 1 North University Parkway High Point, NC 27268 intersection of North University Parkway and Montlieu Avenue. Students must notify Campus Police and Security at [email protected] the name of the year, make and model, plus Delivery Company and driver if known. When the driver arrives at the Post, an officer will be sent to escort the driver to Lot B where the vehicle will be parked, and the keys will be taken to Wanek Center to be held at the Security Desk. Emailing us the requested information is important for alerting the team of and to ensure your delivery.
