Candidates for graduation may pick up their caps, gowns, tassels, and hoods at the High Point Campus bookstore during regular store hours beginning Wednesday, March 4. No pre-order required. Questions about academic regalia can be directed to Jennifer Gonzalez, (336) 841-9221 or [email protected]. The bookstore is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

We encourage degree candidates to wear business professional or business casual attire under their gowns.

A photographer with Photo Specialties will take photos of individual graduates during the commencement ceremony in the following location:

  • On stage receiving their diploma.
  • Off stage against a photo backdrop.

For safety and for the courtesy of others, guests should remain in their seats and should not approach the stage for photos.  Please do not bring personal drones to the Ceremony.

A free color proof will be sent to the graduate’s current mailing address, including a password for online viewing.  You are under no obligation to purchase prints.  To receive an email notification the moment your photos are online, please visit www.photospecialties.com to pre-register.  If you do not receive a proof within a week of the ceremony, please contact [email protected] or call 919-967-1700.

A videographer will record highlights from the Graduation Ceremony. A link to the footage will be sent out over the summer.

Graduate Commencement Ceremony

Thursday, April 30 at 3:30pm, Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center

Accessible parking for guests with state issued placards or license plates is available on a first come, first served basis from Parkway Commons located at 1300 N. University Parkway, High Point.  Accessible vehicles will be provided to transport guests to the Qubein Center.

Accessible seating will be available on a first come, first served basis in the Qubein Center for guests in wheelchairs, or those that have extreme difficulty walking. As accessible seating is limited, we ask that the guest needing accessible seating is only accompanied by one other guest.

We do not supply wheelchairs, walkers, or other medical/mobility equipment: In the event you have a family member or guest who needs personal medical equipment, they will need to bring their own or procure a rental.

Baccalaureate (Undergraduate Students Only)

Friday, May 1 at 4:00pm, Wesley Memorial Methodist Church

Accessible parking will be available on a first come, first served basis adjacent to the church. Drivers must display state-issued placard or license plate to enter the parking lot.  Please enter the first entrance on the right coming from Westchester Drive. Accessible seating at the church is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremonies

Saturday, May 2 at 9:00am and 2:30pm, Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center

Accessible parking for guests with state issued placards or license plates is available on a first come, first served basis from Parkway Commons located at 1139 East Lexington Ave., High Point. The accessible parking lot must be accessed from N. Centennial Street. Accessible vehicles will be provided to transport guests to the Qubein Center. We ask that the guest needing accessible parking and transportation is only accompanied by one other guest on the accessible shuttle. Other guests may walk across the street from the parking lot.

Accessible seating will be available on a first come, first served basis in the Qubein Center for guests in wheelchairs, or those that have extreme difficulty walking. As accessible seating is limited, we ask that the guest needing accessible seating is only accompanied by one other guest.

There is not a rehearsal. The Tassel name pronunciation form will be available on March 4. Graduates should arrive to the Qubein Center at least 45 minutes before their ceremony in order to be placed in the line of march by Junior Marshals. Graduates will receive a card that will be used to read their name as the cross the stage.

Diplomas will be mailed following the ceremony by early summer.

Parents may call to  make reservations on a first-come, first served basis for 1924 PRIME, Alo, and Kazoku for April 30 – May 1. Meals will be charged at $65 per person and must be paid on a Student Passport with general account funds.
