Dr. Elizabeth “Betsy” Abbot is Assistant Dean for Student and Professional Affairs and Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences at the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy. In her role as Assistant Dean, she supports students outside the classroom by guiding professional development, overseeing student organizations, and helping connect students with leadership and service opportunities. She also works closely with admissions, scholarships, and wellness initiatives to ensure students thrive academically and personally.
Her professional journey spans community, managed care, and academic pharmacy, with extensive experience in patient care, pharmacy operations, and mentoring student pharmacists. Dr. Abbot enjoys supporting students as they prepare for patient‑care careers. Her goal is to inspire future pharmacists to become compassionate, practice‑ready professionals who make a meaningful impact in their chosen practice setting.
