Spirit of HPU Band Commitment Form
Welcome to the Athletic Band Program at High Point University! Our band program consists of the High Point University Marching Panthers, “The Spirit of HPU,” Volleyball Band, and Men’s and Women’s Basketball Bands. We DO March, but not nearly as much as a competitive high school marching band. We do some game-day “parade” marching and some halftime shows on the soccer field, in addition to a few other campus and community events. Our band is comprised of both non-music majors and music majors. These talented students accept the challenge to support our athletic teams, promote spirit across campus, and have a LOT of fun with other amazing students. The Spirit of HPU Band is open to all students with an interview/audition. (Our current rehearsal schedule is: Tuesday and Thursday from 7-9 PM) Once you are accepted into the band, you will be eligible for up to a $5,000 per year scholarship. This scholarship is in addition to any other academic award you receive.
