This summer don’t just imagine your future — experience it. High Point University’s Pre-College Summer Programs invite rising high school juniors and seniors to spend an unforgettable week exploring their passions alongside expert faculty, current HPU students, and classmates who share their curiosity and ambition.

Whether you’re designing a video game, building a robot, creating a portfolio of original artwork, developing a business idea, or managing investments in our Bloomberg Trading Room, you’ll learn by doing in the same professional facilities our university students use every day.

Engineering Explorations
Build. Design. Innovate.   Design mechanical systems, program microcontrollers, build robotic devices, and experience multiple engineering disciplines inside HPU’s 7,000-square-foot Makerspace. If you’ve ever wondered what engineers actually do, this is your opportunity to find out by becoming one for a week.

Entrepreneurship Summer Innovation Institute
Imagine. Create. Pitch.   Every great company begins with an idea. During this immersive entrepreneurship experience, you’ll identify real-world problems, develop innovative solutions, build prototypes, and present your ideas to entrepreneurs and mentors while discovering how innovation changes industries and communities.

Level Up: Game Design Summer Institute
Create the game you’ve always wanted to play.   Step inside HPU’s Game Design labs and Esports Arena to design, build, and publish your own original 3D video game using Unreal Engine—the same technology used by professional game developers. By week’s end, your game won’t just exist on your computer. It will be online for others to play.

Think like an Investor.   Experience finance where professionals do. Analyze markets using Bloomberg technology, build investment portfolios, participate in trading simulations, and discover how financial decisions shape businesses, communities, and global markets.

Create. Experiment. Exhibit.   Explore photography, digital illustration, printmaking, painting, and multimedia while working alongside HPU faculty and student artists.
