The Bachelor of Arts in Sports Media is offered by the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication. High Point University’s SACSCOC accreditation includes the degree and the sports media minor.

Live Division I Broadcasts

Networks and teams hire on air checks, live credits and clips. HPU sports media students produce live telecasts of more than 70 home events a year for the Big South Network through Sports Link, working play-by-play, color analysis, camera, replay, graphics and directing.

Interviews With Visiting Stations

Top-performing students are invited to interview with visiting news stations each year, including WGHP, a FOX affiliate, and WBOC, a CBS affiliate.

The Nido R. Qubein School of Communication

The program sits in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication, a community of more than 750 scholars and producers in eight disciplines.
