My Major at HPU: Business Administration

High Point University and the Phillips School of Business are deeply committed to the positive development and education of young people who possess the drive and potential to be successful, contributing members of society. We work with local industry professionals to make sure our curriculum is pertinent and state of the art.

Our approach in all our programs is to provide a practical, applied, experiential education utilizing a variety of teaching methods such as case studies, computer simulations and projects with the local business community. Activities outside the classroom are viewed as critical elements of an education.

Internships, career events, speakers, resume and interview workshops, etiquette dinners, company tours, the Elevator Pitch and the Business Plan Competition all provide opportunities to work with the business community to obtain a practical, relevant education.
