During the month of May, High Point University students studied for exams, said their goodbyes and packed up their dorm rooms to move home for summer.
Nearly 1,000 seniors graduated with the Class of 2015, while undergraduate students set off to travel across the country for Maymester Global Experience Programs. Others prepared to start their professional careers and summer internships.

If you’ve ever met young alumnus Josh Walston, you know he’s always talking, introducing himself to someone or asking questions. And he is always asking questions. When he was little his mom would call him the Question Box.

In January 2015, 2015 Niche Best Campus Rankings looked at 2,245 public and private institutions across the country and ranked our campus as one of the top 5 in the nation!

3. We Proudly Present the Class of 2015
Their parents gave them roots but High Point University gave them wings. On May 9, 2015, nearly 1,000 graduates walked across the stage and received their long-awaited diplomas. Since then, our newest alumni have started prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, and top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs.

4. Words of Advice from Tom Brokaw
Named one of the top Commencement speakers of 2015 by the Huffington Post, Tom Brokaw addressed more than 10,000 parents, family members and friends who filled the Roberts Hall lawn at our commencement ceremony on May 9. He shared tokens of wisdom from his life experiences and had numerous take-away messages such as:
“Be the generation that sees a friend or a stranger for who they are and not just for the color of their skin. We can never completely fulfill the promise of this treasured republic if we are blinded by color.”

During graduation, President Dr. Nido R. Qubein urged graduates to “be excellent, be relevant, make a difference and believe in the art of the possible.” Seniors Colin Reinhardt, Luke Rogers and Arielle Stratton embody all of these things. Now, they begin to dream big.

John Turpin, Dean & Editor In Chief
- Dr. John Turpin, professor of interior design and dean of the School of Art and Design at High Point University, will serve as editor in chief of the Journal of Interior Design.
