How HPU helped you get there: “HPU has helped me to be proactive and independent. From moving away from home, to going abroad, HPU has helped me eliminate my fear to go outside of my comfort zone. The Office of Career and Professional Development gave me the tools to search for opportunities. The skills and tips I acquired through their guidance helped me get to where I am today.”
Most Impactful Mentor at HPU: “Dr. Vern Biaett was my event management professor throughout four years at HPU. He taught me the ins and outs of the events world and not to take life so seriously. Dr. Biaett showed me how to adapt to constant change and make every situation the best it can be. He has helped and guided me, even when I was in another country, until the day I graduated. We still keep in touch today, and I am very proud and thankful for the impact Dr. Biaett left on me and the event management program.”
Most Impactful Moment at HPU: “The most impactful moment at HPU for me was my graduation. Although that was the end of my time at HPU, it made me realize how lucky I was to attend, receive a degree and create unforgettable memories.”
Advice for Underclassmen: “Don’t be afraid. Take those risks you never thought you would take. Going outside your comfort zone makes you grow as a person. It can be the best decision you make.”
