How HPU helped you get there:

“HPU’s business classes in the Earl N. Phillips School of Business and the Professional Selling Club provided me the knowledge and skills to reach my career goals. The Office of Career and Professional Development helped me develop my resume and cover letter, which I have used for internship and job applications throughout my four years at HPU.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU:

“My most impactful mentor at HPU has been my Success Coach Cory Kirby, who has been my mentor since my freshman year. He has always helped me navigate through adversities, whether related to school or life. He has been an awesome mentor to me and many other students at HPU.”

Most impactful moment at HPU:

“My most impactful moment was at Spring Commencement for the Class of 2022, when I was recognized as a Junior Marshall. I felt honored to have the opportunity to help run Commencement and be seated at the front of the ceremony with my fellow Marshalls. I felt as though my hard work and dedication to this school was recognized, and that impacted me greatly.”

What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success?

“HPU helped me develop the networking, time management, proactivity and public speaking life skills I needed to prepare for success beyond graduation.”

Advice for underclassmen:

“Networking is the most important thing you can do to set yourself up for a successful career post-graduation. You never know when your networking connections may come in handy for building relationships and getting your foot in the door for that internship or job!”
