How HPU helped you get there:
“HPU taught me how to be confident. I have gained experience speaking in front of an audience, working on long-term projects and collaborating with others. I know how to ask meaningful questions so I can learn about a company, an industry or the task at hand. The Office of Career and Professional Development helped me utilize my Handshake profile to search for internship opportunities. At HPU, I am continuing to grow, and my internship experience has shown me how far I have come since my freshman year.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“I have been extremely lucky to have had many impactful mentors during my time at HPU who have helped me along my professional journey. My mentors include professors from the Phillips School of Business and in-residence faculty, a part of the Access to Innovators Program, whom I have had the opportunity to meet and hear about their experiences and careers.”
What has your internship experience been like, and how is it preparing you for your future?:
“My internship experience has been transformative. My peers, mentors, managers and senior leaders at PayPal have all been instrumental to my success. This internship is preparing me for my future by helping me narrow my focus for my post-graduate career. I am seeing how the skills and knowledge I learned in the classroom translate to a workplace scenario. I am discovering my strengths and seeing where my areas of improvement are. I am learning so much about an industry that I didn’t have much experience in prior to this internship.”
