About Community Engagement

The CCE serves as the central hub for connecting university and community resources. It leads students, faculty, and staff into the community where their intellectual and human capital comes alongside community members to promote asset-based community development. Through these efforts the CCE is a catalyst for civic learning and positive community change.
1185 College Village, High Point, NC, 27262

Voices of Service Survey
Why This Helps:

1.Understand Student Engagement – It helps measure how often students are serving, what types of service they’re drawn to, and what barriers may prevent participation.
2.Highlight Impact – By gathering stories and feedback, the survey captures the personal meaning and community impact of service experiences.
3.Guide Program Growth – Responses can show which opportunities resonate most, helping you design more relevant and accessible service initiatives.
4.Amplify Student Voices – It provides a platform for students to share why service matters to them, ensuring that their motivations and challenges shape future programming.
5.Strengthen Partnerships – Insights can be shared with community organizations to better align student involvement with real community needs.

Vision

The Center for Community Engagement will foster High Point University as a leading engagement center, cultivating human and ecological flourishing in the greater High Point area.

Bringing the mobile lab to various Operation Xcel sites has allowed me to present hands on STEM activities to middle and elementary school students in the area. My hope is to engage young students in science and to encourage them to pursue STEM related fields.
