Preparation is Key
Before you even step foot in the airport, make sure you're prepared. Double-check your flight details, pack your bags strategically, and don't forget important documents like your REAL ID or passport and boarding pass. Make sure you leave yourself enough time to arrive to the airport on time. If you are utilizing High Point University Shuttles, make sure you are accounting for weather and shuttle travel times. *Effective June 3, United Airlines will require all domestic passengers to check in at least 45 minutes before departure. Passengers who do not check in on time may be unable to check their bags and risk missing their flights.

Airport Etiquette
Finally, brush up on airport etiquette to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for yourself and those around you. From respecting personal space in lines to keeping noise levels down in waiting areas, a little courtesy goes a long way. Be considerate when using shared armrests on planes. Avoid hogging them and allow neighboring passengers to have their fair share of space. During boarding and deplaning, be patient and allow others to move freely without rushing or pushing. Avoid blocking the aisles unnecessarily and be prompt when using the lavatory or retrieving items from the overhead bins.
