Dr. Mohamed is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics at High Point University’s Workman School of Dental Medicine.  He received advanced specialty training in Prosthodontics and a MSc in Oral Sciences from the University at Buffalo, New York. Dr. Mohamed is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (Prosthodontics). He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). His work integrates evidence-based restorative principles with digital technologies to enhance patient care and dental education.

Lauren Witke holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Lenoir-Rhyne University, earned in May 2023. She completed her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Executive Management in December 2024, along with a graduate certificate in Healthcare Administration. Lauren brings a strong interdisciplinary background in public health and business leadership to her role, supporting innovative and experiential education initiatives in dental education.

Program Overview

The Advanced Digital Dentistry Fellowship at the Workman School of Dental Medicine is a truly distinctive program designed to elevate dental professionals’ expertise in digital dentistry—from clinical applications to digital CAD/CAM laboratory, across a wide range of workflows in Prosthodontics, Restorative Esthetic Dentistry, and Implantology. 

This comprehensive 12-month certificate clinical program focuses on integrating advanced digital technologies throughout every phase of treatment, emphasizing in-depth treatment planning and the execution of restorative and surgical implant procedures, all through the lens of cutting-edge digital workflows. 

Fellows will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with expert faculty and lab technicians, participate in research, and contribute to the academic community, while enjoying access to the state-of-the-art facilities and digital infrastructure at the HPU Workman School of Dental Medicine (WSDM). 

In addition to clinical experience, the didactic component includes literature review seminars, lectures, and hands-on training focused on digital dentistry. Fellows will gain direct experience using world-class digital design software, milling systems, and 3D printing technologies, with comprehensive exposure to a variety of digital workflows, ranging from chairside clinical applications to digital laboratory fabrication, preparing fellows to lead in the evolving field of digital dentistry. 

A fellowship certificate in Digital Dentistry (Restorative and Implant Digital Dentistry) will be awarded upon successful completion of the (12) month program.

The Digital Dentistry Fellows can expect to obtain advanced training focused on digital dentistry workflows available for advancing patient care at state-of-the-art facilities such as our dental practices and In-house digital innovation lab.

The HPU WSDM Digital Dentistry fellowship is dedicated to the integrated application of cutting-edge technologies to enhance and advance patient care through innovation.

  • Digital Implant Planning (BlueSkyBio Plan, Zimvie Real Guide, Exoplan) 
  • 3D Printing technologies (Sprintray, Sirona) 
  • CAD/CAM Design (Exocad, CEREC, InLab, Real Guide, Meshmixer) 
  • 3D and 2D Smile Design  (Smilecloud) 
  • Chairside and Laboratory Milling technologies (Cerec, Roland, VHF) 
  • Virtual Reality and Haptics Simulation Lab (SimtoCare) 
  • Clinical and Lab Photography

Application Requirements 

The program accepts national and international applicants. We encourage general dentists and specialists to apply. There is no option for part-time attendance. 

Applications for admission to the program can be submitted directly to: High Point University Workman School of Dental Medicine – ADEA PASS® Program 

Application Deadline : 1st of January,2026 

Program Start: June 29, 2026 

Applicants must submit the following: 

  • Most recent CV. Include a passport style photograph. 
  • Must have earned a D.M.D./D.D.S. degree, or equivalent; copy of dental diploma and copy of dental school transcripts must be submitted. English translation must be used for transcripts not in English language. 
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation should be submitted. One of these letters must come from the Dean or a Program Director. All letters should have contact information attached to the recommendation. 
  • All foreign applicants whose primary language is not English should submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores (we do not accept the IELTS test). A minimum TOEFL score of 90 is required for application consideration. TOEFL test scores are taken more than 3 years before the application date will not be accepted. 

International Student Eligibility

Applicants are eligible to enroll if they are:

  • US Citizen
  • US Permanent Resident
  • Non-US Citizen/Resident (applicant must obtain their own sponsorship)

 

Tuition and Fees

Acceptance – Candidates offered acceptance are required to submit a nonrefundable electronic deposit of $1,000 to hold a place in the entering class.

Accepted fellows will be provided tuition remission and qualified individuals that meet clinical and academic expectations will be granted a $45 000 stipend by High Point University Health and the Digital Dentistry Fellowship program.

Expected Cost of Attendance

The following estimated cost of attendance is based on full-time attendance for the number of months enrolled per academic year. Estimated amounts may vary based on a number of factors. Students may use these estimates when applying for financial aid.
