What is a Master of Education Degree?
Earning an M.Ed. in Education provides students with advanced knowledge and skills such as curriculum design, instructional technology, educational research and leadership. Program of Study for the Master of Education in Education Leadership

Beginning with students who enter the program Fall 2026: Students progress through the program in the sequence outlined below.  Program completion leads to a Master’s Degree and license.  It also yields a doctoral level graduate certificate and the ability to transfer 12 hours into a doctoral program. 

Certificate 1: Educational Leadership and Organizational Development is earned upon completion of EDU 7171, EDU 7272, and EDU 7176. These three courses, together with EDU 7275, comprise the 12 credit hours eligible for transfer into the doctoral program.
