Some opportunities require HPU nomination, either because institutions are limited in the number of applications they can put forward, or because the fellowship, scholarship, or grant requires stringent internal review and approval before the application can be considered for advancement.  Please note that internal deadlines for HPU nomination consideration are much earlier than external deadlines, and not all applications will be recommended for advancement.
