Hi Everyone! My name is Nico Martin, and I am the President of the ETA XI chapter of Beta Theta Pi here at High Point University. Here at Beta, we strive to build men of principle for a principled life. We are known as one of the oldest fraternities in America with 144 active chapters all over the country, with chapters even located in Canada. Our chapter has also had the highest GPA within the Inner Fraternal Council since our founding here at the University. We have made an impact in our Greek Community by receiving the highest reward of Chapter Excellence, and helped raise thousands of dollars for the community of High Point. When I first met the brothers here at Beta, I could see the enthusiasm that each brother had for this fraternity. I could see how confident they were in their demeanor, and I could see the true bond they had for one another. They stood out from the rest through their diversity, and I could see the impact that the fraternity has made on each and every one of them. Here at Beta, we don’t seek to form you into one of us, but instead help you strive to become your best self. I could say that in my time here as a Beta, I haven’t just made lifelong memories with individuals who I can call my brothers, but the fraternity values have helped shape me into the man I am today. As President of this chapter, my goals are to leave the fraternity better than when I initially joined, and give others the same experiences I had.
