Reserve the Japanese Garden pavilion or our outdoor classroom kit to get your students outside!
The pavilion is located in the Cottrell Japanese Garden behind Cottrell Hall. It is shaded, handicap accessible, and seats 15 as is, or up to 27 when combined with the outdoor classroom kit.
You can make anywhere on campus a classroom with our portable classroom kit. It contains 12 folding stools, a voice amplifier, and a wagon for transport.

Does your class touch on life skills and emotional intelligence? Gardens staff can lead your students on a 30-45 minute walk where we explore our campus gardens, share information about the physical and emotional benefits of spending time in nature, and go through a guided meditation activity.

We have partnered with several faculty members to deliver presentations related to plants, nature, and gardens. We are happy to work with faculty that desire to use the gardens as a teaching tool, including developing lectures that connect nature and gardens to diverse disciplines.
